Unless you are in ''the game,'' as the players on parade in Brent Owens' doc (which premiered on HBO with roughly 30 minutes less footage) refer to the pimpin' lifestyle, you'll be fascinated, flabbergasted, and infuriated by the blatant man's world revealed within. Of course, in a film about prostitutes and the pimps who thrive on their lack of self-worth, you expect the women to be portrayed in a less-than-flattering light, but the fact that Owens skirts the brutal physical and emotional abuse that's an integral part of ''the game'' keeps this from being the objective expose it wants to be.
